Zach Craft

Zach was born and raised in Western Montana where he grew up chasing mule deer with his father and grandfather. After high school he moved to Missoula to attend The University of Montana, earning an undergraduate degree in Natural Resource Conservation. There he was lucky enough to spend as many days fly fishing the local rivers as he did in the classroom. Following graduation, Zach worked in recreation management for the US Forest Service out of Lincoln, MT, before moving to California to work for the Modoc National Forest. In 2022, Zach joined the Mule Deer Foundation where he feels fortunate to apply his knowledge and passion of the outdoors to help improve the mule deer habitat across the west. When not working, Zach can be found hunting, fishing, and exploring the mountains and valleys of Northern California with his wife, daughter, and dog.
