Sarah was raised in the Sacramento Valley in Northern California, spending many summers backpacking and camping in the surrounding areas. While earning an Associates of Applied Science in Natural Resource Conservation and Management from American River College, she worked for California Department of Fish and Wildlife in both the upland gamebird and black bear programs. She also spent two seasons as a Biological Technician working with waterfowl in the Klamath Basin before moving to Bozeman, MT. She graduated from Montana State University (MSU) in 2021 with a bachelor’s in Biological Science with a concentration in Fish and Wildlife Ecology and Management. While pursuing her degree, she also worked full-time with MSU students enrolled in the Ecology Department as an Academic Services Coordinator.
