Michael Buchanan

Michael grew up in rural Wisconsin, where he learned to hunt and fish. He joined the United States Marine Corps after graduating high school and became an Infantry Team Leader and Designated Marksman, deploying twice to the middle east. After leaving the Marine Corps he moved to Montana, where his wife was from, and earned his bachelor’s degree from the University of Montana. While in school in the west he fell in love with mountain mule deer hunting, which is what drew him to work for the Mule Deer Foundation where he felt he could put his talents towards helping conserve our western wild game and land.
