Jessie Shallow

Jessie Shallow is a home-grown Idahoan who grew up working on her family’s potato farm (“Spud” farm if you are from Idaho). Plant & animal management eventually led to Jessie’s passion for wildlife management, which started at an early age on the farm raising cattle, pheasants, horses, chickens, sheep, & pigs. You will find Jessie outside as much as possible, from hunting in Idaho’s backcountry to driving tractors or running chainsaws on habitat projects. Jessie loves getting her family involved in helping on-the ground, because she hopes her kids as well as other future generations can enjoy wildlife and appreciate working hard to preserve both our hunting traditions and the wildlife that we all enjoy. Jessie has a 21 year background in habitat work with an emphasis on mule deer habitat in Idaho. Her position with MDF allows leveraging funds and bringing people together to coordinate landscape-level projects in identified critical habitats for Mule Deer.
